Her clinical and research interests are in the area of breast cancer prevention, screening, diagnosis, and survivorship. She was the MD Anderson co-principal investigator (PI) on the groundbreaking Breast Cancer Prevention Trial and the STAR trial. She is currently investigating the potential role of vitamin D in breast cancer prevention. Dr. Bevers chairs the NCCN Guideline Panels for Breast Cancer Screening and Diagnosis, and Breast Cancer Risk Reduction.
